This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Santa Rosa, CA on Oct. 14, 1899.  Dorothy Wright studied at San Jose Teacher's College, UC Berkeley, and Columbia University.  Her marriage in 1928 to Leon Liebes ended in divorce.  Leaving San Francisco in 1934, she moved to NYC and established a design studio.  Her paintings at that time resembled textiles and she was advised to study weaving.  For the GGIE she was chairman of the decorative arts exhibit.  At the time of her demise in NYC on Sept. 20, 1972 she was Mrs. Relman Morin.
