| Born in Flint, Michigan, Douglas Lockwood settled in Seaford, Delaware where from 1951 he taught art at the Seaford Special School. He was also a teacher at the Crafts School of the Henry Street Settlement in New York City from 1935 to 1943 and from 1943 to 1945 was a teacher at Penn State College.
He studied at the University of Michigan, the Chicago Academy of Fine Art and the New York School of Applied Art and Design. |
