| | Born in Quebec, Canada on May 13, 1850. Lough moved to San Francisco in 1869 and soon was working as a framer at Sanborn and Vail. By the 1890s he had moved across the bay to San Anselmo where he established his own framing business. In his leisure he painted landscapes of Mt Tamalpais, Russian River, and other scenic spots of Marin and Sonoma counties. He was a close friend and painting partner of Jack Wisby and the Welches. Lough died in San Anselmo on July 20, 1941. Exh: Berkeley AA, 1908. | Source:
