| | Born in San Lorenzo, CA in 1899. By 1923 Luhrs had settled in San Francisco and established a commercial art studio. He was active there until retirement in the 1960s. Luhrs died in Honolulu on April 18, 1970. He was the brother of artist Henry Luhrs. | Source:
