This personal recollection comes from the great-niece of Julia Routt: Miss Emily lived and traveled with violinist Julia Jack Routt for about 50 years. Miss Emily and Miss Julia lived on a ranch in central Texas, on the Brazos. There was art everywhere, sculpture, polished stones. They were both rockhounds.
I remember standing on the back of a tractor, holding on to the seat behind Miss
