This biography from the Archives of AskART:
The following, submitted December 2005, is from the artist.

Felix Lugo is an artist from Puerto Rico, who is best known for his landscape Impressionist paintings.  He is also an advertising production manager.  He studied at New York technical College and majored in Advertising Production Management. For 13 years he helped produce posters and detail and color-centered projects including for New York Metropolitan Museum, New York Botanical Garden and MTA.

In 1990 he was recognized for his professional efforts and awarded the exceptional award of “Craftsman of the year award” by the New York City Printing House Craftsman. The New York Club of Printing House Craftsmen is a local club of The International Association of Printing House Craftsmen, an international organization dedicated to individuals in
the printing and graphic arts industry.

In 1992, Lugo co-produced a graphic book called “barnabus”. He showcased his new book at the Long Island Sport Show.  That same year he created a graphic printing process, “Reflecto Card” design that utilizes offset printing with foil stamping.

His interest in painting began while befriending Angelo Romano an artist known for his angel frescos. It was with Angelo Romano he began to learn to paint. Romano encouraged Mr. Lugo to continue his pursuit of painting and later introduced him to Esteban Navarro, Cuban born artist by Romano for instruction and advice.
