| Born in Santa Cruz, CA on Sept. 3, 1896. Florence Gilbert studied at the CSFA. By 1918 she had wed Charles Lockwood. She was a resident of Burlingame, CA until 1928 and then settled on the Monterey Peninsula. She died at her home in Carmel on Nov. 22, 1963. Her forte was pastel portraits of children.
