Frederick W. Lippelt, an American painter, teacher and illustrator was born in Portland, Missouri in 1862.
His interest in art took him to the St. Louis School of Fine Art where
he studied for five years. Upon the completion of this training
he left for Paris and studied further at the Academie Julian under
Colorossi, Bougereau, Lefebvre, Traner and Dana. He returned to
the United States and was an instructor at the St. Louis School
of Fine Art from (showing 500 of 909 characters). |
