| | Born in Germany on May 12, 1869, the daughter of artist Julius Ludovici. The Ludovicis moved to southern California in 1889. Settling in Pasadena, the family soon became active in the local art scene. In 1910 the family home at the corner of Live Oaks and N. Orange Grove was transformed into a tea room called the Rose Tree. A spinster, Frieda was a resident of Pasadena until her death on Nov. 20, 1960. Member: Calif. Society of Min. Painters.
