| | Was once a Topeka newsboy and later became a painter. In 1906, he began working in vaudeville appearing for several years in some of the best theaters in New York. He left the stage in 1919 when an actors’ dispute arose. | Born in Kansas on December 23, 1880. By 1920 Lemley had settled in Los Angeles. He died there on August 12, 1966.
