| During World War I, George Warren Lawlor (1878-1932) was assigned to camouflage in Philadelphia on May 15, 1918, and was subsequently named Chief Camoufleur for the ship painting operations on Hog Island in the Delaware River District. He resigned on November 21, 1918.
