| The wife of artist Emil Lindenfeld, Giselle Lindenfeld was a portrait painter who left Hungary the morning after the Russian troops rolled over her homeland and slaughtered 60,000 Hungarians.
She escaped to New York where she met her husband who was then president of the Hungarian American Artists' Association.
