The following information was submitted by Farrol Mertes: Born: Detroit, Michigan August 15, 1928; deceased: San Fernando, California May 17, 1977.
While living in Europe, he was diagnosed with cancer, returned home to Los Angeles and died a few months later at the age of 49. His tombstone reads: “Life is short but art lives forever” in Latin.
