While living in Europe, he was diagnosed with cancer, returned home to Los Angeles and died a few months later at the age of 49. His tombstone reads: “Life is short but art lives forever” in Latin.

Exhibited in the 50’s & 60’s at California State Los Angeles & “A Forte Night Art”. Isadore’s widow, Ronda has kept his collection of work in hopes that one day he would be acknowledged as a lost artist of his generation, and now found. Friends and family had a strong desire to own Dore’s work but he could never part with his most of his art. Each piece was very personal, part of his identity.
