| Painter, muralist, illustrator, etcher, architect. Born in Chicago, IL on Aug. 20, 1904. Leonard studied in NYC at the NAD and Grand Central School of Art. By the early 1930s he was in southern California where he was a pupil of Clarence Hinkle. He lived in Laguna Beach until 1938 when he returned to New York. He died in Freeport, NY in March 1980.
