| Born in Oregon on Nov. 28, 1912. "Jack" was the son of painter Paul Lauritz. After settling in Los Angeles in 1919, he was taught to paint by his father. While working as a mailman, he painted in his leisure. He died in Tarzana, CA on March 2, 1990.
