| Jan Lassetter was born in Knoxville, Tennessee in October 1938. During the 1950s Lassetter studied at the University of Texas, University of Colorado, and in Germany at the University of Bonn and Munich Academy of Fine Art. Since that time she has exhibited in museums and major galleries across the United States. She currently lives in Oakland, California.
Solo exhibitions: High Museum, 1960;
Works held: Oakland Museum; El Paso Museum; Santa Barbara Museum; High Museum; Boise Museum; Monterey Peninsula Museum.
