| | Born in NYC on May 5, 1895. Turner studied at the Pratt Institute and Cooper Union in NYC. Upon moving to San Francisco in the 1930s, she taught at the Academy of Fashion Design and lectured at Mills College. In 1939 she established the Turner Art Center in San Francisco at 133 Geary Street. She taught fashion illustration and commercial design there until her retirement in 1951. During the 1950s she was a resident of the California cities of Victorville and Campbell; she died in the latter on June 28, 1962.
