Born and raised in Alaska in a small fishing village beyond the Kenai
Peninsula, Jeanette Le Grue creates paintings influenced by her early
observations of dramatic contrasts in scenery. She also
experienced several tragedies. In 1964, a tsunami leveled her
family home in Alaska, and in 1980, she lost her first husband in a
fishing accident.
In 1981, she moved to Sonoma County,
California with her two children, and in that state learned to
appreciate another kind of nat (showing 500 of 2571 characters). |
