The following, submitted October 2005, is from Robin M. League, son of
the artist and Professor Emeritus, University of Missouri.
Born Thomas Jefferson League, 3rd, on December 12, 1892 in Galveston,
Texas, League became a painter in realist style of portraits,
landscapes, figurative and narrative genre subjects and was also a
muralist. He was a great grandson of Thomas Massie League, the
first U. S. Postmaster of Houston, Texas and a great-grandson of Texas
luminary (showing 500 of 2487 characters). |
