| | Born in New York in 1827. LeCount was one of the first to arrive with the Gold Rush. He established a lithography business in San Francisco with artist W. B. Cooke in 1850. The firm dissolved in 1852 at which time LeCount appears to have abandoned lithography to become a bookseller and stationer.
