Kate Brainard Lamb (1862 – 1955)
Mrs. Kate Brainard Lamb was one of Toledo’s most prominent artists. Mrs. Lamb, whose keen eyes and steady hand enabled her to paint until six months ago, turned out hundreds of paintings in all media, many of which now have prominent places in Toledo homes.
The daughter of Webster S. Brainard, pioneer Toledo lumberman and banker, Mrs. Lamb took up art as a young girl. Upon graduation from the old Toledo High School, sh (showing 500 of 1737 characters). |
