The following information was submitted in April of 2006 by Mary Coleman Irwin, the artist's great-niece:
Born the son of Barbara and Dominick Lechleitner, he later shortened his name to Leitner. During his early schooling already he received instructions in music and drawing in Ohio as well as Florida, where the family later lived.
Leitner studied Fine Art at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and Adelphy College, where he was a member of the executive committee of the (showing 500 of 2259 characters). |
