| Born in 1899 in Batvia, Illinois, Lenore Conde Lawson lived and worked in Hammond, Indiana. She attended the Art Institute of Chicago and University of Illinois under M.M. Wetmore, C.E. Bradbury, F.F. Fursman, E. Rupprecht, C.W. Dahlgreen and C. Curry Bohm.
Lawson exhibited at the 1939 New York World’s Fair and the Hoosier Salon from 1936-1942. Her prizes include the Hammond Art Exhibition in 1939 and the Painters & Sculptors League.
