Lillie Logan (1843-1923)
Her given name was Josephine Maria Logan and her work is sometimes signed J.M.Logan. California artist and first president of the American Medical Association, Dr. Thomas Muldrup Logan, was her uncle. She was one of 15 children of George William Logan and Anna D'Oyley Glover Logan of Charleston, SC. Her five older brothers served in the Confederate army during the Civil war.
