| | Born in Indianapolis, IN on April 24, 1887. Lauck began his career as a sports artist on the Indianapolis Star. He settled in San Francisco in 1918 and opened a studio in the Monadnock Bldg while studying at the CCAC. He later specialized in both commercial art and photography. Lauck remained in San Francisco until his death on May 8, 1972. He was the uncle of artist Father Anthony Lauck of Notre Dame University. His fine art includes landscapes and portraits.
