This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in Antwerp, Belgium on December 16, 1843, Louis LeJeune moved to San Francisco in 1886 and studied at the School of Design.

He was kept busy in his studio with commissions for marble busts before his death on July 24, 1923.

Exhibitions:
California State Fair, 1895; Mechanics' Institute (SF), 1897; San Francisco Art Association, 1900-02.
