Louise Lauritzen McCaslin was born in Fresno, CA on June 9, 1896. Early in life McCaslin spent summers in Pacific Grove on the Monterey Peninsula where her first art teacher was William Adam. After graduating from Fresno State College, she earned a master's degree from UC Berkeley with further art study at the CSFA where she also taught costume design in 1917.
She then headed the art department at Santa Ana High School and Jr. College (1919-21) and was a designer for the movie indust (showing 500 of 880 characters). |
