Mabel Beatrice Holtz Landaker was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 11, 1902. She specialized in painting impressionist portraits and still life works. She was also quite skilled in ceramic pottery work.
While attending the Art Institute of Chicago she met her artist husband, Harold Charles Landaker. She also studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Chicago, and the Carmel Art Institute. For about 15 years the couple were part of the Clyde Beatty Circus, and in addition to painting (showing 500 of 1817 characters). |
