A Chicano sculptor, muralist and painter, ‘Magu’ Lujan also was a
founding member of ‘Los Four’, a Chicano art collective in Los Angeles,
along with Carlos Almaraz, Beto de la Rocha, and Frank Romero.
Luján was born in French Camp, California, and his parents were Mexican
and Native American. As a toddler, he lived in migrant worker
camp before his family moved to Los Angleles around the start of World
War II, and it was there he spent his childhood and adolesc (showing 500 of 2826 characters). |
