| Born in Fairview, PA on May 4, 1861. Loomis was a resident of Sacramento and active as an artist by 1875. He studied at the San Francisco School of Design under Virgil Williams in the 1880s. He then studied at the AIC and was based in Chicago until his death in Villa Park, IL on Aug. 16, 1938. Exh: Calif.
