This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Known for meticulously detailed miniature paintings reflecting his Cheyenne heritage, he creates paintings that show religious ceremonies in rich watermedia colors. His subjects are a combination of what he learns in books and what his imagination dictates. His goal is to record detailed Medicine paintings for future generations. He also does traditional landscapes.
An inspiration was Woody Crumbo Jr., an artist who convinced him to transfer from Southwestern Oklahoma State University to Bacone College where he developed his signature style of recognizable human forms in symbolic activity, and realistic perspective done with bright transparent watercolor overlaid by acrylic. |
