| Born in Stockholm, WI on Sept. 9, 1893. Linn studied for one year at the AIC. Following service in WWI, he settled in San Francisco and further studied at the CCAC for four years and at the CSFA for three. For many years he maintained a studio at 722 Montgomery Street. He was an employee of the WPA Art Education Program and a member of the Thirteen Watercolorists (founded by Maurice Logan and Maynard Dixon). Linn died at the Veterans Hospital in Oakland, CA on Sept. 13, 1952. Exh: Oakland (showing 500 of 1071 characters). |
