Patty Lewis was born in Berkeley, California in 1951. Shortly
thereafter her family moved to Japan, which proved to be the first of
the two most formative experiences that have shaped her artistic
selection. Living in a Japanese house, wearing the clothes,
speaking the language, and being immersed into the culture at such an
early age allowed her to develop her taste in rustic elegance known in
Japan as "shibuyi".
At age ten, she moved onto the family ranch north of (showing 500 of 1297 characters). |
