| One of the most influential pupils of realist painter, R.H. Ives Gammell, with whom he studied for five years in Boston, Richard Lack has influenced through his Atelier Lack in Minneapolis many students in the tradition of Classical Realism.
He began his training at the Minneapolis School of Art, and he continues to have his studio in that city. He is a leading member of the American Society of Classical Realism.
