Rosanna Lamb ( 1843 - 1927 ) signed her artwork ROSE LAMB. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts to a prominent and important family; her father was Thomas Lamb (1796 - 1887 ) a business man. Rose´s mother was Hannah Dawes Eliot.
Rose Lamb was a student of William Morris Hunt and Helen Knowlton during the 1870´s. She was a portrait painter and drawing instructor. Her specialty was a children portraits, but she painted some landscapes and many adult portraits.
