| Rosebud Josephine Lane was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 3, 1903. Lane came to California in 1906 and settled in Oakland. After graduating from Oakland High School, she studied at the University of California. During the 1920s she was involved with dance, theater, and social work; by 1930 she was the wife of Howell F. Preddy and living in San Francisco. During the 1930s she took up painting as a pupil of Francis Woodcock. She then was a medical illustrat (showing 500 of 859 characters). |
