| Simon Lissim was born in Kiev, Ukraine at the turn of the century. He studied at the art school of A.S. Monko as of 1917. In 1919 Lissim emigrated and as of 1920 he was studying at the art school of Reimann in Berlin and living in Wiesbaden and London. From the end of 1921 to 1940, Lissim was living and working in Paris. In 1922 he was studying at the French National School of Decorative Arts, and by 1923 Lissim was working at the famous Theatre de L'Oeuvre in Paris. His set design for that (showing 500 of 2271 characters). |
