The following is from the artist who lives in Hendersonville, Tennessee:
My father was an artist. He attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
He was secretary of the Philadelphia Sketch Club. His career with the Curtis
Publishing Company included art direction of the Ladies Home Journal.
Because of the Depression, my father did not encourage me to follow a career in art.
I graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in
1937. I was art (showing 500 of 2212 characters). |
