| | Born in Illinois on Feb. 26, 1852. Arriving with the Gold Rush, Susie Favor was one year old when she made the cross country trek to San Francisco with her parents in 1853. Her father encouraged her artistic abilities so she and her sister Anna studied with Virgil Williams at the School of Design. After her marriage to Thomas Lockwood, she remained in San Francisco until her demise on March 4, 1917. Her rare works include portraits and still lifes of fish. Exh: Mechanics' Inst.
