Frequently using dichroic glass, Taylor Lominick creates abstract pieces with a high-tech filtering material found in heat-seeking missiles. His methods are complex and include laminating, cutting, and stacking, and his pieces often combine rough and smooth textures.
He earned a BA in graphic art from the University of South Carolina in 1987 and then moved to Florida where he took a job as a sign maker and became interested in glass. In 1995, he won an award for one of his works, and this (showing 500 of 755 characters). |
