Born in LaPorte, Indiana in 1908, Thelma LaHayne began her career as an artist before moving to Chicago, Illinois to study at the American Academy of Arts and the Chicago Art Institute. After 7 years in Chicago, she moved to New York City in 1954, where she stayed for 25 years.
While living in New York, LaHayne maintained a studio at 105 East Twenty-Eighth Street. She was represented by such New York galleries as Panoras, Crespi, Greenwich and the Sherman Gallery. LaHayne traveled freque (showing 500 of 1253 characters). |
