Thomas G. Lo Medico was born July 11, 1904 in New York, New York. Lo Medico received his formal art education at the Beaux-Arts Institute of Design, New York.
The artist completed WPA sculpture commissions for the U.S. Post Office in Wilmington, North Carolina and the U.S. Post Office in Crooksville, Ohio. Major commissions include Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Building (façade sculpture) 1939; New York World's Fair in Queens, New York; and Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, New Y (showing 500 of 779 characters). |
