| Painter, born in Berkeley, California on February 15, 1920. Leopold studied with Maurice Logan at the California College of Arts and Crafts before joining the infantry in WWII. After the war he lived on the coast at Big Sur for seven years before settling in Cambria, California. There he designed and built houses until his demise on May 19, 1998.
