This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Yliane Labaudt was born in San Francisco, CA on Oct. 25, 1911. Yliane studied art with her father, Lucien Labaudt, and in 1924 sailed for Paris with her sister, Alvyne, for six years of art study under Lhote, Waroquier, and Friez. Returning to San Francisco in 1930, she studied fresco painting with Boynton at the CSFA. In 1932 she and her sister designed stage sets for the first season of the San Francisco Opera House. In 1936 she returned to Paris as the wife of actor Albert Rémy. Mrs. Rémy created many marble mosaics for the French government and stained glass windows for churches. She lived in Avignon, France in March of 2003. Yliane Labaudt died in Cavaillon, France on September 29, 2007.
