Zyta Laky was born in Poland on October 27, 1912. She grew up in Poland during the turbulent World War I time period. Laky studied art at the prestigious Royal Academy of Art in Budapest, Hungary. She spent time under the tutelage of several Eastern European masters.
Laky exhibited widely in this country and abroad. She painted in all media. Laky exhibited her works widely on the Monterey Peninsula. She became well known for her plein-air impressionist landsc (showing 500 of 1004 characters). |
