Aldo Mondino was born in Turin, Italy, in 1938. In 1959 he moved to Paris where he attended William Heyter’s Atelier 17 for two years. He also studied mosaics with Severini, and met young surrealistic painters, an experience which would leave its mark in his works from the 1960s.
?In 1960 he went back to Italy and started exhibiting at Gian Enzo Sperone’s gallery. His works from that period are straightforward quotations of painters from Casorati to Dine, with references to po (showing 500 of 1894 characters). |
