| Anna May Favor Melluish was born in San Francisco, CA on May 9, 1864. Anna Favor studied at the local School of Design under Virgil Williams. During the 1880s and 1890s she was active in the local art scene. After her marriage to Herbert Melluish, she appears to have abandoned her art career. A lifelong resident of her native city, she died on Feb. 26, 1949. She was the sister of artist Susie F. Lockwood.
