Annette Messager was born in France, in 1943, and educated at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Since the late 1960s, she has worked in painting, sculpture, assemblage, video, photography, film, embroidery and installation, using objects like fishing nets, gloves and toys. She comments that she wants to "make life more interesting than art."
She has exhibited around the world in Berlin, Germany; New Delhi, India; Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; Japan; the Pompidou Center, Paris (showing 500 of 1061 characters). |
