| | Born in Oakland, CA on Dec. 15, 1904. During the 1920s Barbara Ames studied at the CCAC. While at that school, she met artist John Mottram whom she married in 1927. Soon thereafter, she stopped painting. Mrs. Mottram died in Palo Alto, CA on Nov. 3, 1965. Exh: Oakland Art Gallery, 1928. | Source:
