| | Born in England on Feb. 22, 1869. Monk immigrated to the U.S. about 1909. He lived in Massachusetts before settling in Los Angeles about 1917. He was an art restorer for an art gallery for many years. By 1930 he had a metal art shop which he operated until his demise on June 13, 1949. | Source:
